damn..i was a youngster in the military stationed in england in like ,,,hummm ,,(counts on fingers,,,,,takes off socks.....) well 83 - 85 frame i think, those days were hazzy w/o the age now,,,but by english ex-wife had a best friend that was teh 'NANNY" for DAVID COVERDALE's 3 kids! for the whole TOUR!!! her 1984 was awesome,,,but she did this disabled Vet a great service, and asked him to stop by her families "LOCAL' for a 'PINT" with her Mum n Mates, before she started her employment HE DID!!

I guess Ian Paice and Roger Glover are the only remaining Original members of Deep Purple, Don't forget,Gillen wasn't in the band in the beginning. Jon Lord of course retired from the band years ago.

I'm sorry but Ian Gillan sounds like he's out of air. There is no power in his vocals!! The recorded version sounds 100 times stronger, His voice even breaks a little in the beginning. No screams or high notes. Raspy and weak. Not a good performance I'm sorry. The rest of the band sounds only ok. Any comments? Please am I the only one who thinks this way?

Uh,it's age.He sounds alot better than some.Just give a listen to Joe Elliott from Def Leppard.His voice has went straight into the crapper.

But this is back in 93 though. If we go by his age today we can assume he has no voice left. I saw his concert in Peru recently and he sounded awesome. This particular performance did not impress me. I think he was hungover. Ronnie James Dio is in his 60s and he sounds unbelievable as ever.

Have you thought about the audio quality could count some. I've got the DVD with good audio quality, it's much different! More power, i agree though his voice sounds weak in this video but that's because of the audio quality!
