whaat? thats ridiculous, cedrics voice is amazing, you obviously have no idea what your talking about, cedrics octave range is amazing whereas jim can only sing in one tone or scream.

listen to their performance of wax simulacara on letterman, his only octave range is shitty. it sounds like someone is strangling britney spears. is high pitched singing sounds crappy, just my opinion.

yeh i know what you mean but then watch "at the drive-in - pattern against user live on channel v" his voice is perfect. jim couldnt sing any of the mars volta songs pitch perfect, cedric evidently can, one bad performance doesnt justify someones ability.

Up until now I've nerver listened to Sparta. I've always just listened to The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In. I've meant to listen to Sparta but I've just never gotten around to it. Now that I have, I'm glad that I did give them a listen. They're good and quite different than Mars Volta. Just as good too.

Why in the hell does everyone think that we have to put Sparta and The Mars Volta in some retarded competition with each other? I loved them all when they were together and I love them all when they are split up. Why can't we just see that we got TWO great bands from the break-up of ATDI? Why does one have to suck because we like the other? I know it will always be that way, but it pisses me off.

Much diffrent than ATD-I and the Mars Volta, but decent. I always like ATD-I because they put themselves out their artistically, I'm not sure if Sparta is still doing that.

Yea. They're just as good as both those bands. I actually think that At The Drive In can get annoying after awhile. I'll listen to them, but not for too long or else I get bored with them. But this isn't annoying at all.
