Gillan should be ... ( 4 months ago by SPAZZOBOXER)
Gillan should be happy, he always wanted to explore some of the overlooked LP cuts in the "Live" forum. Yes, Paice's new follicle engineering enhancement does paint a mugshot-bust resembling Mr.Dwight. Doesn't this mini theatre in the round pre-date the U2 & R.Stones "Bridges to Babylon" contrived mini-stage-sub shows? Again DP is the plagiarized innovator! A big highlight of this little soiree' is Ritchie's unassailable Fender tone, played with such casual ease, yet emotion wringing "feel".

I love your observations my friend. Paice actually resembles a character out of The Benny Hill Show. Contrary to what some have said though, this tour had the potential to rival some of MarkII's best from the 1969-1973 era. Check out the infamous Stutgart shows. The three man nucleus of Blackmore, Lord and Paice absolutley shred.
And yes I heard about you sending Lennox Lewis into retirement, and to think the media claims it was Vitali Klitshko! Wink!

I disagree. Remember how Gillan quit in 1988 when he was out voted 4 to one where the band was to record their next album. And slurring isn't improvising it'e the result of drinking non stop for days which Gillan readilY

Originally recorded as a goofy warm-up jam on the first day of the "Fireball" sessions in 1971, this little gem landed up on the LP only because the record company was demanding the album for release-- and the band only had 7 other songs in the can. What a delight to hear it live, the only tour they brought it out-- and two weeks after this show, Blackmore left the band for good. Check out the audio boot "In Your Trousers" (11/13/93) for another sweet performance of this fine little tune.
